E-Bike Innovator Avinox Introduces the Avinox DP200 Control Display: A New Handlebar-mounted Display Screen That Brings Control to Riders’ Fingertips

All-in-one display offers 1.4-inch full-color LCD touchscreen and integration with system controllers
September 15, 2026 - Avinox, the e-bike systems company building integrated technology to power the next generation of electric bicycles, today launches the Avinox DP200 Control Display, a handlebar-mounted display screen allowing easy access to control and information for riders.
“Avinox continues to expand its line of products to ensure bike brands can customize their Avinox-powered bike based on the needs of their customers,” said Ferdinand Wolf, Product Experience Director of Avinox. “With today’s launch of the handlebar-mounted display DP200, we are offering riders even more simplicity by moving the control display from the top tube of the frame to the handlebar, and allowing it to function as both an information display and shift lever in one. Prioritizing safety, all five control buttons are now within the natural reach of the thumb, so riders can keep their focus on the road or trail ahead.”
At 1.4 inches, the full-color LCD touchscreen has a high level of brightness to ensure visibility even in direct sunlight. Made to withstand any element no matter the type of ride, the Avinox DP200 has an anti-glare and scratch-resistant surface treatment, as well as IP56 rating to protect it from muddy trails as well as rainy commutes.
The DP200 offers five buttons in total: two riding assist mode adjustment buttons, two gear shift buttons, and one power button, easily accessible by the rider’s typical grip on the handlebar. The ease of access enables quick, frequent adjustments, allowing riders to shift gears without removing their hands from the handlebar, unlike frame-mounted displays that don’t support blind operation. From a design perspective, the handlebar location reduces the number of wiring harnesses needed, and makes the bike lighter and sleeker.
Automatic shifting is supported by the Avinox DP2001, making a ride’s starts and stops smoother. The DP200 supports down-shifting when stopped, and prepares gears to make for easier pedaling with start assist. On downhill sections, the DP200 supports automatic shifting to give peace of mind to riders.
Compatible with Apple Find My, the Avinox DP200 can help riders locate their bike with their existing smartphone platform, eliminating the need for other tracking devices and improving theft detection. Thanks to the integration with the Apple ecosystem, the Apple Watch can unlock the bike and serves as a secondary display, giving riders real-time riding status.
