BACHMANN launches PIX Holder – Power and charging directly on furniture

Stuttgart, July 9th, 2026 – Mobile devices are now an integral part of both work and everyday life - in offices, public environments, and private homes. At the same time, power outlets are often not located where they are needed. Furniture is generally not designed for electrification, and retrofitted built-in solutions typically require cut-outs or structural modifications.
With the PIX Holder, now being introduced by BACHMANN, a compact solution is available for the first time to provide power and charging connections directly on furniture - without permanent modifications to the structure.

Market launch for flexible workspace and lounge concepts

The product launch is specifically aimed at applications where furniture needs to be used flexibly or electrified at a later stage. The PIX Holder is mounted on the underside of sofas, seating furniture, or tabletops. Complex installation work is completely eliminated, and power and charging connections are available directly at the point of use.
The closed housing appears as an integral part of the piece of furniture rather than an added accessory. Thanks to its compact design, the PIX Holder integrates discreetly into various furniture constructions while remaining easily accessible.

Proven PIX technology in a new application

Inside the PIX Holder, proven PIX technology is used. Depending on the version, the unit integrates a socket with enhanced touch protection, a USB‑A/C charger with 22 W charging power, or a custom module for specific connection solutions.
The dual version allows two modules to be combined, for example a socket and USB charging connections. Power is supplied either via a cable with installation connector or via a 2.0 m cable with mains plug.

New possibilities for office, hospitality, and residential applications

At market launch, BACHMANN is addressing in particular soft seating and lounge areas in offices, libraries, and hospitality environments. Seating furniture in private homes can also be easily electrified, turning it into functional charging points for everyday use.
