BACHMANN presents ELEVATOR 2: New generation of retractable power supply for modern kitchens
Stuttgart, May 26, 2026 – With ELEVATOR 2, BACHMANN launches an advanced retractable socket unit for modern kitchens. The solution combines a reduced aesthetic with contemporary charging technology, providing power access exactly where it is needed—without permanently impacting the work surface.
Flexible integration – nearly flush or flush-mounted
ELEVATOR 2 can be installed almost flush with the worktop. In addition, a fully flush-mounted installation is also possible, creating a particularly clean and high-quality appearance. This installation variant offers additional design freedom for sophisticated kitchen concepts and provides planners with extended possibilities in detail execution.
Extend when power is needed
When required, the socket unit extends from the worktop and is available for connecting electrical devices. When not in use, ELEVATOR 2 retracts discreetly into the unit—a functional detail that seamlessly integrates into modern kitchen standards.
USB-C fast charging and Qi2 wireless charging
In addition to classic sockets, ELEVATOR 2 offers integrated USB-C/C ports with up to 45 W charging power. Mobile devices can thus be charged efficiently without a separate power adapter.
Optionally, ELEVATOR 2 is equipped with Qi2 wireless charging. With 15 W output, it provides efficient and practical power supply, meeting the demands of modern devices at a high level.
A two-stage opening mechanism ensures that the charging surface extends first, followed by the sockets. This guarantees stable positioning and reliable charging—even for slim devices or those with protruding camera modules.
The Magnetic Power Profile (MPP) supports precise device alignment. In combination with the Qi2 standard, this results in reduced energy loss and more efficient charging processes.
Safe and suitable for everyday use
With an IP54 rating, ELEVATOR 2 is protected against splashing water and dust, making it suitable for installation near sinks. High-quality surfaces, a soft-opening function, and the 80 mm standard cut-out for easy installation complete the concept and also enable retrofitting.
