Some Activities to Get Outside with Spring Around the Corner

Spring is finally here, and it's time to get outside and enjoy the sunshine! With the weather warming up, there are plenty of activities to choose from. Whether you're a fan of playing with a pee wee size football, succulent gardening, or something out of the box, we have a few ideas for you to try. Have a look below:

Get your hands on that soccer ball.

Football is a global game that goes beyond borders and cultures. Whether you're an expert player or just starting out with a size 3 soccer ball, this spring activity has something for you. The basic idea is to kick the ball between two teams, trying to get it into the opponent's goal. It's easy to learn and can be enjoyed by anyone of any age. Grab a football and find an open area to play. Get in a huddle with your friends and family and assign positions for each of you. Once you've got the game plan, the game can begin. Not to mention, your 29.5 basketball is always available for an alternative sports session.

Show your athlete side by going hiking.

You may get some exercise and breathe in some fresh air by going on a hike. Whether you're going for a short walk or a tough hike, it's important to carry plenty of food and water to keep you energized and hydrated. If you're feeling adventurous, you can also try kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding.

If gardening isn't your thing, consider planting a succulent garden instead.

Succulent gardens can be as varied as any other plants, as they come in various sizes, shapes, and colors. Succulents are a unique type of plant that's great for beginners. They can be very forgiving when it comes to watering and don't require extra nutrient-rich soil. To start your succulent garden, select plants appropriate for your climate and provide them with enough light, drainage, and moisture. Allow plenty of space between plants, and consider planting taller succulents in the back of your garden for a layered look. If your garden is in an area with full sun, consider adding shade-tolerant succulents for variety. Have fun and enjoy your new succulent garden!

Go bird-watching.

Get some binoculars and take a morning or afternoon to relax and watch the birds in your area. You may be lucky enough to spot some rare species that don't appear every spring. If you're a curious person, bring a field guide to identify some of the more exotic species in your area. You can also bring a camera to take photos of your discoveries. Once back from your walk, you may want to curate a scrapbook with your photos, drawings, and notes from your bird-watching activity.

The Bottom Line

Spring is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Whether you're looking for a friendly soccer competition or just a relaxing bird-watching session, there are plenty of activities that everyone can enjoy. Get out there with your friends and family today and make some memories that will last a lifetime!
