BKtech delivers heating system to new biogas plant in Jämtland

Biogas i Jämtland Härjedalen AB has officially inaugurated a new biogas facility in Gräfsåsen, just outside Östersund. The plant will produce both biogas and biofertilizer, using house hold waste from the region, dairy residues from Arla’s dairy in Östersund as well as manure from local farmers.

BKtech was entrusted with supplying the heating solution for the project.

“We have delivered a 1 MW wood pellet-fueled hot water boiler plant. In addition to the boiler itself, the delivery included a boiler house, silos, pellet burners, flue gas cleaner, ash handling system, and chimney,” says Daniel Chrigström, Bid Manager and Project Manager at BKtech.

Sweden’s biogas production remains relatively low compared to both its potential and the demand for fossil-free gas. However, interest in new facilities is growing rapidly.

“We are experiencing a strong surge of interest in biogas and are in discussions with several stakeholders planning new biogas plants,” says Staffan Lundegårdh, Sales Manager Nordic at BKtech.

BKtech would like to extend sincere thanks to Biogas i Jämtland Härjedalen AB for a successful collaboration and for inviting us to the inauguration.
