BLAST Pro Series open the tournaments biggest year with record sales in South America

BLAST Pro Series starts 2019 with a massive tournament in São Paulo, which will be the biggest esports event of South America in 2019.

Major strides have been made to strengthen the relationship between BLAST Pro Series and the South American esports scene and the ticket sales for the first ever BLAST tournament on the continent showed just that.

Jordi Roig, Executive Producer at RFRSH Entertainment:

  • We knew that CS:GO is massive in Brazil and especially in Sao Paulo, and we purposedly set the ticket prices at a very fair level to give all fans a chance to attend the tournament. I must say, we have been blown away by the interest and the feedback, though, and this tournament will set a new standard for live esports entertainment. Not just on stage and production wise, but we expect the atmosphere to be something truly special. For this event we’re introducing a dedicated fan area where the most active fans will be located with their own capo and even a live stream directly from the fan area. It’s not just new to esports, it’s also a new way of broadcasting the whole experience.
  • With the GLOBO TV collaboration and the rapidly growing interest from fans, São Paulo will be the ultimate kick-off for BLAST Pro Series in 2019 and the Brazilian fans will without a doubt set the standard for future tournaments. We will bring some of the best teams in the world to Brazil and we are truly excited to showcase the Brazilian fanscene to the millions who will be following the tournament online around the globe, Roig comments.
  • Only 3 weeks after Sao Paulo, BLAST Pro Series will bring the show and 6 world class teams to Miami. We don’t expect all Brazilians who did not get at ticket to travel to Miami, but I can say that there will be plenty of reasons for the local fans and the many who travel around the world to experience BLAST to look out for ticket sales in US. Miami will be our first stop ever in North America and also here it will be one of the biggest esports events of the year. Ticket sales will open next week, Roig comments.

Next stop Miami

The interest for BLAST Pro Series is growing exponentially, so far peaking at an all time high with São Paulo - and the year is just getting started. RFRSH has a total of 8 BLAST-tournaments on the drawing board for 2019 with Miami rising from the ashes that São Paulo leaves behind. Ticket sales for BLAST Pro Series Miami will go live next week.
