BLAST signs major broadcast and partnership deal - Winstrike to cover the CIS region

Second major deal in a matter of weeks solidifies BLAST leading position in the esports world

BLAST, a leading global esports entertainment company, today announced the signing of a deal with Winstrike for the exclusive broadcast and sponsorship rights in the CIS region for BLAST Premier 2020.

The deal - which forms one of the largest and most comprehensive CS:GO partnerships ever concluded in the CIS region - secures Winstrike the broadcasting rights within the CIS region to BLAST Premier, a world-class Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) series that features the world’s best teams, 300 hours of content and a $4.25 million USD prize pool. The sponsorship and marketing platform enables CIS companies to reach a global audience across iconic cities like Moscow, London, Los Angeles, Miami, Bahrain, Sao Paulo and Madrid.

Under the terms of the deal, Winstrike will broadcast the content across TV, Online and Theatrical platforms, bringing the BLAST brand into every home in the CIS region. The deal also provides Winstrike with exclusive sponsorship, betting and marketing rights to BLAST Premier 2020 in the CIS region.

This is the second large scale deal that BLAST has signed in a matter of weeks. TV2 Denmark renewed their broadcast package with BLAST earlier this month following a sell-out crowd at their recent event in Copenhagen, where more than 12,000 watched from the arena and hundreds of thousands from home.

The latest broadcast and partnership deal further consolidates BLAST position as the real and exclusive home of esports in the CIS region. BLAST Pro Series held in partnership with Winstrike a sold-out event in Moscow in September 2019.

Robbie Douek, CEO, BLAST:

- We are very happy with this new broadcast agreement and to expand our partnership with Winstrike. We had a great partnership with Winstrike during BLAST Pro Series Moscow in September and we are looking very much forward to expanding our presence in CIS with BLAST Premier in 2020. This deal further cements BLAST as the go-to proposition for broadcasters, sponsors and fans across the esports world. Some of the best players and most engaged fans come from the CIS region and we are delighted to be able to bring them more Counter-Strike and more engaging content.

Lina Komkova, CEO, Winstrike Agency:

- We are thrilled to step into a new phase of partnership with BLAST. After having BLAST Pro Series in Moscow in 2019 which was a huge success, this step is a logical evolution of our relationships into strategic partnership covering media rights for Russian broadcast and content in CIS market for the whole BLAST Premier in 2020 as well as expansion of BLAST license aimed at development of CIS market for BLAST through regional championships and other possible products under BLAST IP.

BLAST features the world’s best teams as season partners, joined by emerging talent providing a competitive excitement. BLAST is hosted in some of the world’s most iconic cities, competing in front of thousands of spectators and millions at home.
