Visiba Strengthens Position in Trusted AI Healthcare Infrastructure, as NHS Confirms National Rollout of AI Triage

Stockholm/London, July 9, 2026 – Digital healthcare innovator Visiba today announced a strengthened strategic focus to lead the emerging category of trusted AI-enabled healthcare access infrastructure, enabling healthcare providers to deliver safer, faster, and more scalable care through clinically governed digital workflows and patient intake solutions.

The announcement follows confirmation from NHS England that artificial intelligence will be rolled out nationally via the NHS app to help direct patients to the most appropriate service, whether a GP appointment, pharmacy, A&E, community service, or self-care advice. NHS England has said the tool will scale to all app users by April 2028, as part of a £10 billion government investment in NHS technology, digital, and data systems. The announcement follows the initial trial of Visiba’s AI triage technology in Sussex, in partnership with the NHS app, which recorded a meaningful drop in patients queuing by phone for appointments, reinforcing the access-and-efficiency gains on which Visiba has built its category leadership.

Already deployed across NHS and Nordic healthcare systems, Visiba is positioning itself at the forefront of regulated AI in healthcare, an area expected to grow in importance as providers face rising demand, workforce shortages, and mounting pressure on access to care.

Unlike consumer-grade AI tools, Visiba’s clinical intake and triage capabilities are built within regulated healthcare environments and supported by MDR-compliant medical device certification standards.

"This week's NHS announcement confirms that AI-enabled triage is moving from pilot to national infrastructure," said Hannah Gibson (photo above), Chief Commercial Officer and UK Lead at Visiba. "This shows what is possible when AI is built inside a regulated, clinically governed environment. We believe the organisations that combine genuine innovation with proven regulatory, clinical and operational credibility will be the ones healthcare systems trust to scale."

Visiba technology is already delivering measurable impact in healthcare settings. Independent NHS evaluation data have shown the company’s systems can deliver a 37 percent reduction in acute GP appointments, 94 percent triage accuracy, and a 23 percent reduction in inbound practice calls, helping healthcare providers better segment patients according to clinical need.

The company also holds a strong market position across Northern Europe, including being the second largest player in Sweden within its category, alongside growing positions in the UK and Norway.

“Healthcare AI is moving beyond experimentation,” underlines Dr Annabelle Painter (photo above), Clinical AI Strategy Lead at Visiba. Speaking from the company’s UK office in London, Dr Painter notes that “providers are increasingly looking for proven infrastructure that can be trusted at scale. Our ambition is clear: to help shape the future of safe, scalable digital access to care.”

As healthcare systems accelerate digital transformation, Visiba believes that regulated AI-enabled intake will become a foundational capability for providers, insurers, and digital health platforms seeking to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
