Stockholm, Sweden, June 1, 2016 – Blueair AB, the world's largest mobile indoor air purification technologies company with sales in over 60 countries worldwide, has appointed Alexander Provins as Sales Director for the Europe Region with immediate effect. In this role, Provins will lead Blueair’s business efforts in Europe, overseeing the company’s strategic direction while continuing to drive business and retail growth.
Commenting on the appointment, Blueair Chief Operating Officer Niklas Wakeus said: “Alexander will be responsible for contributing to Blueair’s European sales strategy and growing product offering to retail and end customers throughout Europe. He brings valuable knowhow to Blueair and will be an asset to our European sales organization as we move forward with the introduction of innovative new air purifying products that help customers safeguard their health and wellbeing by removing hazardous airborne contaminants from their indoor air at home and in workplaces.”
Alexander Provins joins Blueair having spent the last decade in a number of leading sales, marketing and brand managerial roles in private companies in the Nordic region active in the foodservice, tech trade/development and FMCG (fast moving consumer goods). He has a Master’s degree in economics and marketing from Handelshögskolan in Gothenburg, Sweden.
“I am looking forward to bringing my retail sales and marketing knowledge to deliver on the challenge of further growing Blueair as a leading air purifier brand across Europe and increasing our market share,” said Alexander Provins.

Background

- According to the latest WHO urban air quality database, which covers 3,000 cities in 103 countries, 98% of cities in low- and middle income countries with more than 100 000 inhabitants do not meet WHO air quality guidelines. In high-income countries the equivalent percentage is 56%. As urban air quality declines, the risk of stroke, heart disease, lung cancer, and chronic and acute respiratory diseases, including asthma, increases for the people who live in them.
