Boråstapeter releases wallpaper treasures from their archive

We often search through the drawers of our archive and marvel at our all-time most treasured patterns. In this special collection, Our Archive, we have selected some beloved designs that we have rediscovered and want to share. From iconic patterns from long ago, to more contemporary releases, these wallpapers fit perfectly in all rooms of any home, regardless of their style and age.

Our almost endless archive is its own magical store of patterns and wallpapers. Inside there are thousands of memories that have dressed the walls of people’s lives through the generations. Enjoying coffee in the living room using grandma’s best china, playing hide and seek with a friend in the hallway. Cherished candle-lit dinners at the table in your mother-in-law’s dining room, or cosy breakfasts of eggs and bacon in the kitchen. All moments framed by the feeling of the patterns on the wall.

“It has been so wonderful to work with these old patterns again and show them in a new light, for a new era and in new homes. Here you will find wallpapers from both the turn of the century, art deco to 50’s retro and colourful designs from the 70’s. These classic patterns suit many homes and styles – regardless of their year of construction and interior design style,” says Ingela Wingborg, Senior Designer, Boråstapeter.

We have chosen from the heart and reimagined the wallpapers with a contemporary palette to inspire new colours and pattern expressions for classic interiors, as well as for retro lovers, romantics and trend connoisseurs. Each one as beautiful as the next, they offer an exciting interplay when side-by-side, while also being a safe choice for a personal home you love to be in.

Vårt Arkiv is available in stores from the end of May 2021. The wallpapers are made in Boråstapeter’s own factory in the textile city of Borås, where sustainability is in focus. Production is completely without hazardous substances and with the least possible environmental impact. All paints are water-based and paper is sourced from sustainable forestry in Northern Europe.
