Boråstapeter’s beloved Dahlia Garden is launched in three new colour schemes

Dahlia Garden Special Edition takes a much-loved wallpaper to new heights. The flamboyant, floral wallpaper is now printed in three completely new colour schemes: midnight blue, vintage brown and pale terracotta. And so, Dahlia Garden’s late summer flowerbed takes on wonderful new shapes.

Stately dahlias and cosmos bloom against ornate leaves. Dahlia Garden is a fantastic pattern with clear Arts & Crafts influences, hand-painted by Jenny Hahne Gadd. The midnight blue colour scheme is gentle yet playful. The pattern with a dark brown background is a touch more sophisticated and, for those who choose the terracotta-coloured variant, the whole room is imbued with a warm, relaxed feeling.

Jenny Hahne Gadd, designer at Boråstapeter, explains:
“There are certain patterns that warm the heart a little more than others. And for me, Dahlia Garden is one of those wallpapers. A pattern I put a lot of my time and soul into when I first drew it. One late summer day, I attempted to capture in a pattern, everything that was sweet and beautiful about the dahlia flowerbed’s incredible loveliness. So, it was exciting to have the chance to create new enchanting colour schemes.”

“The Falsterbo III wallpaper collection, from which the pattern comes, has a very cohesive, safe and attractive colour palette. All patterns fit together in some way and it is easy to find a companion for a pattern you like. I have wanted to protect this when I made the new colour schemes. So, I have stayed in the same colour scheme and instead tried to explore what more the pattern can express. This has led to three completely different colour schemes, each lovely in its own way.”

Dahlia Garden is available in stores from mid-May. The wallpapers are made in Boråstapeter’s own factory in the textile city of Borås, where sustainability is in focus. Production is completely without hazardous substances and with the least possible environmental impact. All the paints used are water-based and the paper comes from sustainable forestry in Northern Europe.
