PIGMENT - A Splash of Colour
Boråstapeter is launching Pigment, a new wallpaper collection in forty exclusive colours. With descriptive names such as Chalky White, Moody Green, Elephant and Rose Dust, each wallpaper features solid colours on natural, matte surfaces.
The advantages of single-colour wallpapers are many; they fit all four walls of a room, but also combine equally well with patterned wallpaper. They have a matte-coloured surface, reminiscent of a painted wall that is completely opaque.
"The feedback we received for Mineral, another solid-colour wallpaper collection, was very positive. A trend for 2014 is to combine balanced shades to create a beautiful, pleasant, and personal home. In the hope of inspiring creative, daring colour choices and combinations, we have chosen to present the forty different colours in six inspiring themes," says Ulrica Hurtig, head designer for Pigment.
Scandinavian Blonde reflects the Scandinavian lifestyle with cool colours like white and grey, complemented by warmer hues like golden crème and ochre. Sunset Bliss represents the hot and spicy colours found in our beautiful sunset with shades of golden yellow, terracotta and purple. Breaking Dawn contains the colours of the Scandinavian dawn, from blue-green mineral colours to warm green tones. Arctic Pastels uses the sophisticated powdery pastels one would find in an arctic environment with crème and crisp white tones. Nordic Noir brings together the obscure and more deep hues that give the room a special magic or mysticism, like a John Bauer illustration. New Moods contains shades for those who want to create a dynamic and personal home with exciting colour shades.
Pigment is available in stores from February 12, 2014. The collection contains 40 wallpapers, representing 40 different colours.
