  • Rolex "Paul Newman" Daytona up for Auction at DKK 1 million

    At this summer's international auction in Copenhagen, Bruun Rasmussen offers a unique and iconic Rolex Daytona Cosmograph from 1964-65, identical to the wristwatch owned by Paul Newman, which last year went for USD 15.5 million. The auction house has never before offered this model.

  • Gold and Silver from Christian IV

    The biggest coin auction of the spring will be held at Bruun Rasmussen in Copenhagen on Tuesday 8 May, where 530 hand-picked coins, medals and banknotes will come under the hammer. The biggest highlight is an extremely large 4 Speciedaler from 1624, made of silver from the Norwegian mountains at Kongsberg west of Oslo.

  • Contemporary Asian Art up for Auction

    At this summer’s international auction at Bruun Rasmussen in Copenhagen, we are putting together the largest and most varied selection of contemporary Asian art ever entrusted to us to sell, including names such as Fang Lijun, Chen Wenling and Takashi Murakami. The majority of the works are from a private Danish collection and were acquired during the past 10–15 years.

    A monumental album with a wealth of personal greetings from the 20th century's great thinkers of Europe will go under the hammer at Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers in Copenhagen this Summer with an estimate of DKK 500,000. Prior to this auction the album will be exhibited in Paris from 21-22 March.

    Nothing less than an early masterpiece by the Dutch master of Still lifes, Pieter Claesz, will be up for auction this coming May at Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers in Copenhagen. However the painting will be presented to the public in Paris from 21-22 March, London from 15-16 May and Copenhagen from 24-28 May.

  • Newly Discovered Work by Camille Pissarro

    A newly discovered Pre-Impressionist work by Camille Pissarro from his early years on the Virgin Islands (formerly known as the Danish West Indies) will be auctioned off in Copenhagen this summer. The work is dated to sometime between 1852-55 before Pissarro moved to Paris. The painting will be presented to the public in Paris from 21-22 March, London from 15-16 May and Copenhagen from 24-28 May.

  • The Wolff Collection of Master Drawings

    This coming May, the largest internationally oriented and privately-owned collection of drawings in Denmark will be up for auction at Bruun Rasmussen in Copenhagen. The collection spans from European Master Drawings from the 16th century to the 19th century Danish Golden Age. Highlights from this collection will be presented to the public in Paris from 21-22 March and London from 15-16 May.

  • Denmark's Most Expensive Sofa Sold for DKK 610,000

    This year's first design auction in Copenhagen has just concluded with an impressive record for a sofa by Flemming Lassen from 1935, which was sold for DKK 610,000 (€ 106,000 including buyer's premium). It is the most expensive sofa Bruun Rasmussen has ever sold.
