Moomin voted Top 10 International Brand in China

Moomin has been voted one of “Top 10 International Brands in China” by the China Animation Licensing Industry 2015.

Tove Jansson’s classic characters have had incredible successes in Japan and the Moomintrolls are now on the rise in other parts of Asia as well. With this honorable award Moomin is further strengthening its position as a worldwide brand.

The Chinese licensing agent, Medialink, representing Moomins on behalf of Moomin Characters and master agent Bulls Licensing, made a statement after the award was announced:

“It is absolutely a great recognition and encouragement to us for all the marketing and promotion we have established for years. We will continue to strive ahead and we believe that Moomin will become more and more popular around the world!”

About the Moomins

The Moomins were created by Tove Jansson, a Finnish pictorial artist and author. The first book "The Moomins and the Great Flood" was published in 1945. Tove Jannson wrote and illustrated nine novels, four picture books and hundreds of comic strips. Her books have been translated into nearly 50 languages. The first TV animation was created in 1969 and since then different animations have been aired in over 100 countries.
