Burckhardt Compression completes the acquisition of Fornovo Gas in Italy
Following the announcement on May 13th, 2026, Burckhardt Compression confirms the completion of the acquisition of Fornovo Gas on July 14th, 2026, in Milano, Italy.
Fornovo Gas focuses on mid-sized reciprocating compressors and has developed a strong market position in Europe. It employs approximately 120 people and generates double-digit MCHF sales.
The acquisition strengthens Burckhardt Compression's position in the growing Biogas and relevant compressed natural gas (CNG) markets. Fornovo Gas brings strong technical expertise, a complementary product line and long-standing customer relationships into the Burckhardt Compression group.
