BYON x Lisa Wirenfelt presents the Sera collection – made for life around the table
Playful illustrations, warm colours and familiar BYON favourites in a new guise. In the Sera collection, BYON’s expressive design universe meets illustrator Lisa Wirenfelt’s colourful visual world.
What BYON and Lisa share is a love of colour, playfulness and the unexpected. Sera was created with the same mindset – for tables where everything doesn’t have to be perfectly arranged, where wine stains are welcome and where the people around the table matter more than the setting itself.
– I was drawn to BYON’s energetic and distinctive design language and the way the brand dares to stand out. I’ve always liked companies that challenge conventions rather than simply follow the crowd. My ambition was to find something that felt true to both me and BYON, and to create something that can be enjoyed again and again in everyday life, says Lisa Wirenfelt.
Inspired by BYON’s design universe, Lisa has created illustrations featuring some of the brand’s most characteristic products, transforming them into playful motifs that appear in unexpected places.
The collection moves between different materials, including textiles and wood, and also features embroidered details. For Lisa Wirenfelt, who usually works with illustrations and posters, Sera offered the opportunity to see her visual expression take physical form and come to life in entirely new materials.
– I hope the collection invites lively, intimate and memorable conversations. Dinner parties don’t have to be so formal. I love it when things are imperfect, when the food hasn’t taken five hours to prepare and everything is a little wonky. Those usually turn out to be the best dinners, says Lisa.

Lisa Wirenfelt is a Swedish illustrator known for her colourful, playful and expressive visual style. Her work is characterised by bold colour combinations, graphic shapes and a warm, personal approach to everyday subjects. She primarily works with illustration and posters, and the collaboration with BYON brings her distinctive visual world into new materials and products for the home.
