The world’s most anticipated electric boat has performed its maiden flight, ahead of serial production. With the foiling Candela C-8, the Swedish tech company promises to disrupt powerboating, thanks to C-8's unique combination of long all-electric range, high speed, and advanced features.
Thanks to a decade-old invention coupled to advanced software and computers, the electric Candela C-7 electric sportsboat flies above the water with longer range and higher speed than any other electric boat before it. This week, members of the press can try out Candela C-7 in Miami ahead of the Miami Boat Show.
Candela's hydrofoiling electric boats are coming to New Zealand through a partnership with local company Next Generation Boats. The first Candela C-7 speedboat is expected to arrive in early April 2022 followed by the bigger C-8 at the end of the year.
