Care of Sweden Highlights Updated International Pressure Injury Guidelines for Stop Pressure Ulcer Day
On 20 November, Care of Sweden, a leading medtech company, joins healthcare organisations worldwide in recognising Stop Pressure Ulcer Day, an annual global initiative led by the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (EPUAP). The day aims to raise awareness of pressure injuries, one of the most preventable yet costly healthcare complications.
To support this effort, Care of Sweden is hosting a free live educational webinar for healthcare professionals, focusing on the newly updated International Guideline for the Prevention and Treatment of Pressure Injuries, published by EPUAP, NPIAP, and PPPIA.
“This year’s guideline updates emphasise the importance of individualised patient assessment and the role of clinical judgement when planning prevention and care,” says Izabella, clinical trainer and webinar host.
Key Webinar Themes
- Etiology: Understanding how pressure injuries develop
- Support surfaces: Latest evidence on full body support surfaces and their selection based on patient needs
The webinar is open to professionals across acute care, long-term care, and home care, providing a concise, clinically relevant summary of the updated guidelines.
