About Cetasol
Cetasol is a deep tech company based in Sweden, focused on accelerating maritime sustainability. By combining maritime expertise with advanced AI and data science, Cetasol helps vessel owners and operators optimize performance, reduce emissions, and move toward a greener future.
About iHelm
Cetasol’s flagship solution, iHelm, is an AI-powered system designed to boost fleet efficiency. iHelm goes beyond visualization, offering actionable insights that support smarter decisions. It automatically models vessel operations to optimize energy use, cut costs, and support sustainable performance. W
ith fuel savings between 10–25%, iHelm supports both environmental and economic goals.
iHelm includes three components:
Cetasol Main Unit (CMU): Installed onboard and connected to the engine. It collects data and sends it through a global IoT network.
Captain Display: Offers real-time guidance to captains, helping reduce fuel consumption, emissions, and improve navigation.
Cloud Dashboard: Gives fleet managers detailed engine data, performance reports, and key metrics for data-driven decisions.
Captain Display 2.0
– Smarter Guidance, Greater Control
The updated Captain Display introduces a start/stop button, making it easier to track performance based on voyage segments. It retains core features like destination selection, target time, and operation mode settings. The new version includes updated alarms, signals, and gauges to improve situational awareness.
Two new intelligent gauges—Speed and Fuel—offer deeper insights into vessel efficiency:
The Speed Gauge helps captains understand how speed adjustments affect fuel usage and arrival times. It uses AI and historical data to refine its guidance continuously.
The Fuel Gauge shows real-time fuel use and trip-based consumption, helping captains evaluate if they are meeting expectations.
Smarter Operations, Sustainable Results
New features also include customizable metric cards, such as:
Fuel Now
CO₂ Emissions Now
CO₂ Emissions per Leg
These are easily adjustable in the settings menu.
Operators can choose between three operational modes:
Non-Repeatable Mode provides a high-level view of vessel performance, ideal for varying routes.
Repeatable Mode uses historical data to support consistent operations, like ferry routes, helping improve safety and efficiency.
Semi-repeatable mode a mix of the modes. Shown mostly for port operations.
Navigate with Confidence
The updated Captain Display provides better operational control through an improved design, intelligent feedback, and real-time insights. It empowers both captains and fleet managers to make informed, data-driven decisions that cut costs, reduce emissions, and support sustainable operations.
Shaping the Future of Vessel Performance
Captain Display 2.0 gives maritime operators the tools they need to improve fuel efficiency and operational performance. With intelligent gauges, customizable metrics, and mode-specific insights, this update supports better voyage planning, real-time decision-making, and measurable environmental impact.
