We always using 2 keys to open wings and close wings to fly in game. Such as we using that skill in the game where just 1 button will open or close wings from the K (skill) menu. You can buy Aion gold on our site with cheapest price.

Originally we used two keys, but that was before we figured out that majority of the classes have approx 42 abilities needing keybinds, alongside potions, scrolls etc. So we can move to using only 1 key from the keyboard for the wings, using the action provided in Aion.

The answer to not falling to your death is to be aware whether your wings are already open or not. By not spamming the key, there's no chance of accidentally closing your wings. We failed at it a few times at beginning, did not fall to any deaths we remember though, but these days it works fine for us.

By the way you can not use any key to ascend or descend. We can just aswell tilt mouse and aim ourselves whichever way we wish to go, most players we need to fly in straight paths anyways. Use our aion powerleveling service will make the game more interesting.
