The scope involved installing secondary structures on 72 monopile foundations. This project was notable as it marked the company’s first secondary steel installation, expanding GWS’s offshore service offerings.

This achievement supports the High Coast project and reinforces GWS's commitment to advancing sustainable energy and enhancing Europe's wind energy infrastructure.

  • Turbine Installation Completed at Storhöjden Wind Farm

    Global Wind Service has completed the installation of 22 Nordex N163 turbines at Sweden's Storhöjden Wind Farm. Work has now transitioned to the Vitberget site, where installation of an additional 24 turbines has begun, enhancing Sweden's clean energy development.

    GWS extends Service & Maintenance Agreement Offshore Wind with Vattenfall for Horns Rev 1 Since 2009, GWS has played a key role in servicing Horns Rev 1. For over a decade GWS has been involved with Horns Rev 1, providing essential service and maintenance to ensure the continued efficiency of its turbines. In 2023 successfully completing two major component exchanges.

  • Thor Wind Farm Sees First Secondary Structures Installed by GWS

    Global Wind Service has completed its first secondary steel installation at Denmark's Thor Offshore Wind Farm, with 55 technicians on-site. The project, featuring 72 Siemens Gamesa turbines, aims for 1.1 gigawatts capacity, powering over one million households by 2027.
