Consat is bringing some of its latest bus and fleet management solutions to the Expo to show attendees what it can do to optimise the operation of modern buses. Consat provides IT solutions for Public Transport, integrated via open standards for:

• Transit Authorities

• Transit Operators (large and small)

• Manufacturers and OEMs

"We’re going to demonstrate a couple of things at the Expo," Consat Telematics managing director Lachlan Mackay told ABC. "We’re going to show our Fleet Studio solution where you can monitor and manage your fleet and get tell-tale alarms in realtime.

"We’re also looking to show our Headway feature, where buses run without a timetable, and you can run a network where buses come every X minutes."

Consat’s technology will be difficult to miss at the Expo. Mackay says Consat will have live demonstrations and touchscreens at its booth for visitors to experience how its technology works in realtime. Visitors can see how Consat is helping transit operators around the world eliminate range anxiety for electric vehicles as well as provide charging management.

"One of the points we’ll try to make is that our system integrates via open standards for transit authorities and operators," Mackay says. "It’s not just about providing solutions to operators; we provide to OEMs too.

Mackay says Consat has plenty of new features to show. While Fleet Studio and Headway are at the top of the list, Mackay wants visitors to come away from the Expo knowing that Consat has an incredibly rich set of solutions for different situations, including electric bus and charging functions to smooth the transition to zero emission fleets.

"We’re excited about it," Mackay says. "We’re keen to show what we can do, because we know we make world class solutions, we help enable public transport for the future."
