Consat Telematics wins landmark 10-year contract to modernise public transportation in Goiânia
Göteborg, Sweden / Goiânia, Brazil – November 6, 2025 – Consat Telematics has been awarded a major 10-year contract with Redemob Goiânia to deliver intelligent public transportation solutions across the city’s bus rapid transit (BRT) system and wider fleet. The agreement, valued at approximately 100 million SEK, represents one of the most ambitious telematics deployments in Brazil to date.
Transforming Goiânia’s public transportation
The project begins with the BRT North-South corridor, covering 68 buses, including 12 new electric vehicles, and will gradually scale to more than 1,300 vehicles across five operators and eight depots within the next year.
As of September 2025, Consat Telematics serves as the exclusive system provider from day one, enabling Redemob to modernise operations, improve traffic flow, and deliver real-time passenger information while supporting the city’s transition to sustainable mobility.
A step toward smarter, greener cities
“This project is a milestone both for Consat Telematics and for Brazil’s public transportation sector,” said Ricardo Marcon, Head of Customer Market Unit Latin America. “By combining advanced fleet management, driver support, and passenger services, we’re not only improving operational efficiency, we’re also helping Redemob accelerate the shift toward a smarter, greener, and more reliable transit experience for passengers.”
The full roll-out will be completed over a 12-month period, placing Goiânia at the forefront of integrated, intelligent transport solutions in Latin America.
