Consat welcomes new Chalmers students for the tenth consecutive year
Thousands of new students will gather at Götaplatsen on 18 August as the Chalmers reception kicks off. Consat will be on site, partnering with the Chalmers Student Union for the tenth consecutive year to hand out custom-printed programme T-shirts. The T-shirts help the new students quickly settle in and get to know one another.
This year, a staggering 95 % of all incoming Chalmers students will be wearing T-shirts provided by Consat. The initiative makes life easier for the organisers and fosters a strong sense of community during the students' first few weeks at university.
“It’s all about giving the new students a secure start and a sense of belonging. We choose to support the student union because they do a fantastic job for Chalmers. At the same time, we ease the burden on the degree programmes so they can focus entirely on looking after the freshers,” says Martin Wahlgren, CEO of the Consat Group.
Following the assembly at Götaplatsen, thousands of students clad in their new T-shirts will march the one-kilometre route up to Chalmers for the President's welcome address, with the Consat logo prominently displayed on their backs.
“We are immensely proud that Consat has chosen to sponsor the orientation for our new students for the tenth consecutive year. With a staggering 2,972 T-shirts across 12 different colours, together we create a fantastic celebration of colour at Götaplatsen,” says Ella Nielsen, Chair of the Chalmers Student Union Reception Committee.
The commitment shown during orientation week leaves a lasting impression. Industry surveys from the likes of Universum and Karriärföretagen show that a large number of Chalmers students are familiar with Consat. The company also ranks highly when students list employers they find attractive.
“Our presence during orientation builds a relationship that lasts throughout their studies. The students get to know our brand from day one, which for us is key to finding the top engineers and system developers of the future,” says Martin Wahlgren.
