Fredrik Östbye appointed new Chairman of the Board at Consat Telematics
Fredrik Östbye has been appointed Chairman of the Board at Consat Telematics. Having been involved with the company since 2018, he now looks forward to leading the board’s work at a time when digitalisation and sustainability are reshaping public transportation globally. “We have a world-class product and the potential to take an even stronger position internationally,” says Fredrik.
As an engineer and serial entrepreneur by background, Fredrik Östbye has both founded his own companies and held senior roles in international technology firms. He also brings extensive experience of board work in the tech sector and has throughout his career focused on helping companies reach results faster through clear goals and strong teams.
“I’ve followed Consat Telematics closely for several years, and what attracts me most is the company’s ability to turn innovation into societal value. We have a world-class product and the potential to take an even stronger position internationally. I look forward to contributing to making our solutions available to more cities around the world,” says Fredrik Östbye.
He describes partnerships and data-driven development as two key priorities for his chairmanship:
“We need to become even better at collaborating with other stakeholders and creating solutions that make the whole stronger. At the same time, we must continue to use the data we have to create real customer value and stay at the forefront in AI and digitalisation,” he says.
For Fredrik, leadership is just as important as technology, and he often returns to the importance of culture:
“I strongly believe in the concept of ‘A Winning Team’, where people respect and support each other. When culture works, we not only create better solutions for customers, we also build a working environment where people want to stay and contribute long-term,” says Fredrik.
