Last week, two large structural elements from one of the cranes at Amager Power Station was delivered to CMP in Copenhagen. Crane 10 at the Amager Power Station is to be dismantled and scrapped, a task undertaken by the CMP Logistics Department.
Almedalen Week is when politicians, businesses, municipalities and media all gather for a few intensive days in Visby on Gotland. This year CMP will be organising a seminar in Öresundshuset.
CMP and Region Gotland inaugurated the cruise together in Visby at the end of April. It was an extensive and exciting construction project, commencing in February 2016. Please watch the film about the project.

The cruise ship Queen Elizabeth arrived in Visby for the first time on June 14. Queen Elizabeth is 294 metres long, takes 2,092 passengers and belongs to the shipping company Cunard Line. During its time in Visby, Queen Elizabeth will be berthed at the V14 cruise ship quay.
CMP’s turnover in 2017 amounted to SEK 839 (812) million. Operating income was SEK 78 (43) million and operating margin was 9.3 (5.3) per cent. During the year CMP handled 15.5 (15.7) million tonnes of freight. CMP also received 849,000 cruise passengers which is an increase of almost 16 per cent. The number of cruise arrivals amounted to 325 (311) and comprised a gross tonnage of 24.2 (21.3) mill
CMP now offers bunkering of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). First off was the vessel Ireland, which unloaded cement in Malmö. In connection with this she was provided with LNG via tanker lorries. It's about bunkering where safety requirements are extra tough.
In brilliant sunshine, CMP welcomed this year’s first cruise ship to Malmö. There will be a total of nine arrivals during the season, which will put Malmö on the cruise map again.
By & Havn and Copenhagen Malmö Port wish to establish a container terminal and a new cruise terminal in Ydre Nordhavn and at the same time make the harbour deeper off the new terminals.
The new cruise quay in Visby was opened today in connection with the visit to the port of the ship AIDAdiva. The venture is a collaboration between Region Gotland and Copenhagen Malmö Port, CMP, with Region Gotland building the quay and CMP taking responsibility for the actual operation starting from now.
Mercedes-Benz Försäljnings AB is establishing a base in the port area in Malmö and thereby strengthening its collaboration with CMP. The company previously rented outdoor areas from CMP, but it has now decided to move its workshop operation to Frihamnen.
Astoria was the first ship to arrive at the new cruise quay in Visby today, entirely according to plan. It marks the start of the 2018 cruise season and CMP is delighted that the new terminal is now open. 550 passengers arrived early in the morning and many of them chose to proceed onward by bus to discover Gotland. The quay will be officially inaugurated on 29 April with specially invited guests
