    CMP’s turnover in 2017 amounted to SEK 839 (812) million. Operating income was SEK 78 (43) million and operating margin was 9.3 (5.3) per cent. During the year CMP handled 15.5 (15.7) million tonnes of freight. CMP also received 849,000 cruise passengers which is an increase of almost 16 per cent.     Cruise quay in Visby has opened

    The new cruise quay in Visby was opened today in connection with the visit to the port of the ship AIDAdiva. The venture is a collaboration between Region Gotland and Copenhagen Malmö Port, CMP, with Region Gotland building the quay and CMP taking responsibility for the actual operation starting from now.

    There is considerable market demand for international rail shuttle services. Green Cargo and the Belgium firm, Lineas, have increased the number of train departures on the popular direct route, Belgium Direct, between Sweden and Belgium for existing and new customers. On January 12, the fourth shuttle started between the countries and volumes on the trains is increasing.

    Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) enjoyed a strong year in 2018. Turnover increased by approx. eight percent from SEK 839 million to SEK 908 million. The cruise segment once again broke records and contributed strongly to the increased turnover, partly due to the newly opened cruise quay in Visby.

    The cruise season was a successful one for Copenhagen Malmö Port, CMP. Copenhagen welcomed 850,000 passengers, setting a new record. CMP is now investing in continued growth. A new terminal is being built in Copenhagen, and as from April 2018 Visby will form part of CMP’s cruise operations.

    Go-ahead for new cruise terminal in Copenhagen

    The Board of Copenhagen Malmö Port, CMP, has given the go-ahead to build a new cruise terminal in Copenhagen. The terminal will be located beyond the current Oceankaj in Ydre Nordhavn and will be able to handle more than 5,000 passengers per call.

    In 2016, CMP handled 15.7 million tonnes of goods. This is an increase of five per cent compared with the previous year, corresponding to around 700,000 tonnes.
