Nacho Balbontín Takes on Global Sales Leadership at Aicomp

After nearly 14 years with the company, the seasoned enterprise software expert steps into the role of Global Head of Sales – tasked with driving the next phase of growth for the packaging industry’s leading ERP solutions specialist.

Aicomp, a leading provider of configuration and process solutions for the paper & packaging industry, is expanding its global sales organization. Nacho Balbontín has been appointed Global Head of Sales – a role that goes to a manager who has been shaping the company since April 2012. Over those years, he built and led projects and sales across Iberia, France, Italy, and Latin America. Last year, he additionally took on responsibility for North America, a market with tens of thousands of packaging companies and significant growth potential for Aicomp.

Strong Momentum Behind the Appointment

The appointment comes at a time when Aicomp is systematically expanding its international footprint. In fiscal year 2025, the company added Delkeskamp, Smurfit Westrock, and FEPA as notable new customers for VCPowerPack, its SAP-based industry vertical configuration module. At the same time, Aicomp has built a substantial international sales pipeline across both VCPowerPack and Cubicus, its cloud-native CPQ platform.

For 2026, Aicomp is pursuing ambitious growth targets: additional new customer wins across both product lines and the continued development of a broad, qualified opportunity pipeline – with particular focus on the Cubicus SME market, which is structurally far larger than the traditional SAP ERP segment for larger enterprises.

A Dual-Track Strategy as Competitive Advantage

Aicomp’s strategy centers on two complementary products: VCPowerPack serves the advanced requirements of SAP customers in the paper & packaging industry, while Cubicus as a cloud-native solution addresses the significantly larger market of small & mid-sized packaging manufacturers that require reasonable budgets for their digitalization projects and are open to any cloud ERP provider. Nacho Balbontín will coordinate both product lines internationally and further develop them through an expanded network of strategic partnerships with industry leaders like SAP, OMP, ESKO and others.
