BIO PLANÈTE stands for innovative strength in the European organic oil market like no other company. As Europe's first purely organic oil mill, the German-French family business has successfully launched more than 20 product innovations in recent years. BIO PLANÈTE is not only shaping the oil shelves, but also constantly redefining what organic edible oils can achieve – for health, taste and the environment
Innovation leadership with attitude
In 1984 it began with the pressing of French sunflower seeds is now a driving force for innovation in the organic oil market: around 160 employees at BIO PLANÈTE now develop and produce more than 70 cold-pressed organic oils. The aim is clearly defined: innovation arises where enjoyment, nutritional value and ecological responsibility are combined. »Each of our oils has a purpose, an added value for consumers,« says BIO PLANÈTE founder Judith Faller-Moog.
This attitude is reflected in an exceptionally broad history of innovation – from functional speciality oils to pioneering technological achievements.
Relevance for trade and market
Notable developments in recent years include:
- the first standardised reusable solution for edible oil in Europe (2023),
- functional essential oils such as Omega Silver (2025) and Black Cumin Oil Immune (2023),
- culinary highlights and convenience products such as the Oil blend for Pizza & Pasta (2021) or Olive Oil & Truffle (2016),
- as well as consistently refined classics such as Frying Oil with Olive (2024) or Frying Oil with Ghee (2016).
For organic retailers and food retailers, this density of innovation means one thing above all else: differentiation. BIO PLANÈTE offers depth on the shelf and continuously new points of reference for trends such as conscious nutrition, functional ingredients, international cuisine and sustainable packaging solutions. This provides guidance for consumers and added value for retail partners.

1984 fing alles mit den Pressen von französischen Sonnenblumenkernen an. 40 Jahre später stellen wir als deutsch-französisches Familienunternehmen mit etwa 160 Mitarbeitenden mehr als 70 verschiedene kaltgepresste Bio-Öle her. Unser Leitmotiv heißt #ESSENVERÄNDERTDIEWELT. Denn wir entwickeln und produzieren Bio-Öle in dem Bewusstsein, dass gute Lebensmittel Genussbringer, Gesundheitsbewahrer und Klimaschützer in einem sind. Mit diesem Anspruch haben wir beispielsweise die europaweit erste Mehrweglösung für Speiseöl auf den Markt gebracht, ein 3D-Verfahren für unser außergewöhnlich mildes Leinöl oder auch ganz besondere Öle wie die Ölkomposition für die Thai-Küche entwickelt.
