EDU Medical and Maastricht University cooperate on quality of teaching

Kalkara, Maastricht, March 5th, 2020: EDU, Europe's first digital Institution of Higher Education, and the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences at Maastricht University will be working together in the future to ensure the quality of teaching Human Medicine. Both educational institutions have recently signed a partnership agreement stating that experts from the Netherlands will continuously evaluate and supervise the curriculum of EDU's Human Medicine study programme.

EDU will give the staff at Maastricht University a detailed insight into their digital teaching and learning platform – the Digital Campus – and all related systems for the design, creation and management of the curriculum. Planned visits to EDU locations are also part of the cooperation. The evaluation is intended to comment on the quality of teaching concerning meaningful, relevant and measurable learning objectives, and to assure the level of knowledge of EDU students is comparable to that of students at other institutions.
