Moviepilot founder Ben Kubota joins GAIA Technologies as CTO

Berlin, 14.02.2023 – Ben Kubota joins the Berlin-based legal tech start-up GAIA Technologies as Co-Founder and CTO/CPO. Among other things, Kubota is known as the founder of the German film portal Moviepilot and co-founder of the Wunderlist successor Superlist. GAIA develops a software-as-a-service platform that enables small and medium-sized enterprises to manage their legal processes independently and digitally. With the addition of Kubota, the startup is now increasing the pace of further product development.

More autonomy in legal matters

GAIA aims to enable companies to take their legal matters into their own hands. The start-up pursues an all-in-one approach. Thus, all contracts, employee participation programmes as well as shareholder and advisory board resolutions can be mapped and managed via the software. With Kubota's experience, the startup now wants to accelerate the development of new product features even further.

"All companies have to deal with legal issues sooner or later. We want to prevent their growth from being slowed down as a result. However, our goal is not to replace the lawyer. Instead, our technology is intended to enable companies to manage all legal processes with just one software," says Kubota.
