New Policy of .Museum Domain Names

The policies of Museum-Domains have been changed since 18 April 2018:

Not only museums but all people with an interest in or link to the profession and museum work in general, including curators and museum fans may register Museum-Domains.

A .museum domain name has had to reflect the name of the Museum according to the policies. You can register .museum domains also e.g. for events and single collections.

Since 18 April 2018 museums can register generic museum-domains like http://naturalhistory.museum

.

It is on the basis of "first-come, first-served".

New domain names at the third level like http://specific.generic.museum

are not offered anymore. The third level Museum-Domains, which exist, survive.
