Interpack 2026: An AI-powered solution with zero-trust access

Cloud-based software management using AI-powered engineering

Bruchsal/Düsseldorf – At Interpack 2026, SEW‑EURODRIVE is showcasing OrchestrationSuite, a web-based platform for machine builders, system integrators, and packaging line operators. This platform's centralized, manufacturer-independent software management helps ensure lean, flexible processes and complete transparency across all lifecycle stages in the software-defined factory of the future.

Packaging machinery is made up of many different automation components – including PLCs, drives, robots, and HMI systems – from all kinds of manufacturers. This diversity results in a lot of administrative work due to the different engineering tools, the need to install software locally, and manual updates. OrchestrationSuite creates order and transparency. This state-of-the-art tool offers users new possibilities for the straightforward orchestration and management of automation software.

DevSecOps principles were systematically applied when developing OrchestrationSuite. Combining development (Dev), IT operation (Ops), and security (Sec), the platform offers centralized version management, structured releases, CI/CD pipelines, and complete transparency throughout the software's entire lifecycle.

OrchestrationSuite provides numerous AI‑powered, user-friendly functions and is continuously being enhanced. One particular highlight that SEW‑EURODRIVE will be demonstrating live for the first time at Interpack is AI‑powered PLC code generation. Functional descriptions can be entered in natural language, then translated into optimized, production-ready control code, compiled automatically, and prepared for software distribution – all in a matter of seconds. AI‑powered documentation and automated version analyses help provide a transparent explanation of differences between code versions, ensure a structured approach to processing existing PLC programs, and document these programs in a way that is easy to understand.

OrchestrationSuite enables secure remote access based on the zero‑trust principle. All access is subject to strict controls, with users and applications only being assigned the rights they require for their tasks. The software manages identities on a centralized basis, protects access data, and creates complete logs of all processes. Applying the compliance-by-design principle means the platform meets regulatory requirements relating to compliance and cyber resilience and creates a secure, transparent basis for state-of-the-art OT environments.

Thanks to an Integrated Development Environment‑as‑a‑Service (IDEaaS) approach, a browser-based solution ensures developers are always using the correct version of the tool – without having to install anything locally. Structured version management and monitored workflows apply tried-and-tested IT standards to industrial automation and speed up development processes on a sustainable basis.

When packaging machinery is being developed and when it is actually being used, OrchestrationSuite centralizes the management of software versions and helps ensure via CI/CD pipelines. Changes to software are reliably installed and can be rolled back immediately if necessary. Important data is backed up regularly and archived in an orderly manner, with all changes to the system software documented clearly. Keeping track of code changes reduces downtimes and minimizes the time and effort involved in restoring systems.

To sum up, OrchestrationSuite lays the technological foundations for a software‑defined factory. It combines DevSecOps, tried-and-tested IT methods, and AI-powered engineering to create a scalable, manufacturer-independent platform. The result is an adaptive production landscape that enables ongoing optimization and software-centered control – it's reliable, secure, efficient, and fit for the future.
