New Version SOFiSTiK | 2024 – 3D Reinforcement for Bridges and BIM-ready Building Analysis
Nuremberg, July 26, 2023 - SOFiSTiK, provider of FEA, BIM, and CAD engineering software, today introduced the new version of its structural engineering software. The new SOFiSTiK Version 2024 focuses on the core competencies of SOFiSTiK, such as parametric capabilities, fast calculations, and interfaces, delivering them to your computer in a safe, fast and open manner. Noteworthy highlights include continuous enhancements in the parametric creation of 3D reinforcement models, especially for bridge and tunnel construction. For structural engineering based on Autodesk® Revit® 2024, SOFiSTiK 2024 introduces numerous new features, making your structural building analysis fully BIM-ready. Technological advancements, such as new solvers for eigenvalues and a new process for moving load train analysis, complete the package in this version.
3D Reinforcement for Bridges, Reinforcement Templates for Rapid 3D Component Reinforcement in Buildings
The successful Bridge + Infrastructure Modeler is widely used by many offices for parametric modeling of specialized models in infrastructure and bridge construction. Now, with the new Rebar Modeler, 3D reinforcements can be generated accurately. With extensive options and a fast preview, you can seamlessly integrate your construction planning into the BIM process quickly and securely. While modeling buildings, you can rely on 3D reinforcement templates for repetitive components. This allows you to reinforce geometrically related elements in the shortest possible time using the latest Revit technology. Additionally, custom components can be integrated into the catalogs.
Building Analysis BIM-ready: From Member Overview Drawings to Rebar Checks
Since Version 2023, the Analytical Model Generator has been able to automatically generate a calculation model for BIM-based buildings on the Autodesk® Revit® 2024 platform for all SOFiSTiK FE packages. Features for change synchronization and coordination enhance the transition from specialized to analytical models. With these advancements, SOFiSTiK 2024 offers numerous new functions to ensure that all essential steps of structural organization, optimization, and calculation take place seamlessly in the BIM model without any loss. These include automatic component naming, overview drawings, and the new reinforced concrete column design assistant in the SOFiSTiK Structural Desktop (SSD). The functionalities are further complemented by the rebar check for planar elements. For earthquake calculation, a new calculation method for shear wall design is available, along with the capability to analyze multi-tower high-rise buildings in separate parts.
Parametric Bridge Construction Made Even More Efficient Through New Technologies
The proven SOFiSTiK concept for axis-based, parametric finite element modeling of bridges is further optimized with new functionalities in SOFiPLUS, the add-on for Autodesk® AutoCAD®, such as dependencies between geometric points. Building upon axis-based modeling, a new concept for moving load train analysis is introduced. For the international market, the pushover analysis workflow introduced in Version 2023 for reinforced concrete bridge piers has been expanded. In composite construction, a new module for verifying the plastic load-carrying capacity in the ultimate limit state is now available for beam structures.
All these features aim to increase the efficiency and safety of your work in the ever-growing complex digital environment. Direct. Aligned. To the Point.
