Press release -

Long-term documentation presented on all implant systems from DENTSPLY Implants

Documented research is essential in the development of solutions and products. DENTSPLY Implants presents long-term clinical documentation on all three implant lines—ANKYLOS, ASTRA TECH Implant System and XiVE—in the portfolio.

“I am very proud that we can present such solid long-term clinical results on all three implant systems, because it proves our commitment and dedication to science and clinical research,” says AnnaKarin Lundgren, DDS, PhD, Director Global Clinical Affairs at DENTSPLY Implants.

Long-term clinical documentation is one of the most important tools to show a product’s efficiency, reliability and safety. In the DENTSPLY Implants portfolio, the ANKYLOS implant system has been in clinical use for more than 25 years, showing excellent long-term results with up to 20 years of clinical follow-up. For ASTRA TECH Implant System, long-term clinical results up to 16 years are available, and for XiVE implant system, long-term results with up to 10 years of clinical follow-up are presented.

In addition, DENTSPLY Implants just presented new 5-year data on OsseoSpeed implants (ASTRA TECH Implant System), showing stable soft tissue and maintained bone levels from implant placement and implant loading, confirming an average bone level reduction of only 0.3 mm.

For over 40 years, DENTSPLY Implants has focused on research and development in all aspects of implant treatment, supported by extensive pre-clinical and clinical study programs.
DENTSPLY Implants’ products and solutions are well-documented with reliable clinical results, and are supported by more than 1,650 scientific publications. Currently, there are 200 ongoing studies worldwide, involving more than 450 clinicians.
