Conrad Laursen Eager Ahead of 24-Hour Debut at Spa-Francorchamps

The Danish Ferrari driver is set to go head-to-head with some of the world’s top GT3 teams as he makes his debut this weekend in the legendary 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

One of the biggest challenges of the season awaits Conrad Laursen this weekend, as he lines up for his debut in the world-renowned 24-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps. The 19-year-old Danish racer will compete for Swiss Ferrari outfit Kessel Racing and enters the Belgian endurance classic with high hopes for the team’s performance.

“I’m incredibly excited. This is a big race – one of the most prestigious trophies in GT racing is at stake, and naturally, we’re determined to fight for a top result. It’s the absolute highlight of the year for the team, so everything is focused on delivering a strong performance,” says Conrad Laursen.

The 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps marks the third round of the GT World Challenge Endurance Cup, where Laursen and his teammates – American Dustin Blattner and German Dennis Marschall – currently lead the Bronze Cup class following a victory in the season opener at Paul Ricard.

At Spa, the trio will be joined by Canadian driver Zacharie Robichon, a race winner and former championship titleholder in the American IMSA series. The quartet will face competition from 12 other teams in the Bronze Cup class, while the overall grid features a total of 75 cars.

“Our goal is a top result in the Bronze Cup, while also keeping our focus on defending the championship lead. My expectations are high—we have a good car and a strong team, so I’m really looking forward to getting started,” Laursen adds.

This year’s edition of the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps kicks off with official practice and qualifying sessions on Thursday, June 26. The race goes green on Saturday, June 28 at 16:30 and will be streamed live on YouTube.
