  • 20-020-RO Floods in Sudan (Activated)

    IAS have submitted an alert on the floods in Sudan. The DERF was activated to the alerted crisis. Torrential rains have caused flooding in Khartoum State destroying and damaging more than 500 homes, displacing people and creating new humanitarian needs. The situation is expected to get worse over the coming weeks, as above-average rains are forecast until the end of September.

  • 20-015-RO Floods in Niger (Not Activated)

    CARE has submitted an alert on the flooding in Niger. The DERF was not activated to the alerted crisis. The Niger River left its bed in several places causing extensive damage and loss of life, destroying houses, rice paddies and vegetable gardens. The unmet need for food and non-food items remain important and even increasing.

  • 20-014-RO Flooding in Afghanistan (Not activated)

    Danish People's Aid has submitted an alert regarding the flooding in Afghanistan. The DERF was not activated for the alterted crisis. The flooding is just the latest blow for Afghanistan, which has been ravaged by the coronavirus and bloodied by Taliban attacks across the country. An increased number of fatalities and widespread damage has been reported in Afghanistan after heavy rain.

  • 20-013-RO DERF Alert note Port Explosion in Beirut - Danmission (Not Activated)

    Danmission has submitted an alert regarding the crisis in Beirut in Lebanon. The massive explosion combined with the drastic changes in political, social and economic realities have destabilized all areas of life. The country is experiencing its worst economic crisis with COVID-19 cases increasing drastically. The DERF was not activated for the alerted crisis.

  • 20-013-RO DERF Alert note Port Explosion in Beirut - DIGNITY (Not activated)

    DIGNITY have submitted an alert note regarding the situation in Beirut in Lebanon. An explosion in August killed at least 135 persons while also injuring and making many more displaced. Health facilities were damaged adding to the strains imposed on the health system due to COVID-19. The DERF was not activated for the alterted crisis.

  • DERF lukker midlertidigt for calls

    Allerede i marts var halvdelen af de tilrådeværende midler for 2020 bevilget. For at sikre, at man også i sidste halvdel af 2020 vil kunne reagere på kriser, er der derfor nu lukket for calls frem til 1. august.

  • Calls for Covid19 applications (Call 20-011 OW & Call 20-012 PC)

    The DERF team is happy to announce that an agreement on the scope of implementing has been reached with Danida on these additional funds. Thus, DERF has the following two (2) COVID19 Calls for applications: A. Humanitarian interventions in COVID19 on-watch countries, (20-011-OW COVID19 May 2020 Call B.   • 20-010-RO Alert Note Floods in Somalia (Fund not activated)

    OFROSOM has submitted an Alert Note regarding flooding in Somalia. At least 16 people has died while more than 200.000 people have been affected by torrential rains and riverine floods since the Gu' rain started in Somalia four weeks ago.   • 20-009 R0 Floods in Kivu Province (Uvira +Baraka), DRC (Fund Not Activated)

    BDM – Brødremenighedens Danske Mission, NIF-Naboskab International Forening and Help your Next have submitted alerts regarding the recent floods in the Kivu Province in DR Congo. The alerts will be processed by the DERF Management as per the DERF guidelines. For further information, please refer to the alert notes.
