Calls for Covid19 applications (Call 20-011 OW & Call 20-012 PC)

DERF has received an extraordinary grant from the Ministry for humanitarian funding for the currently evolving COVID19 global crisis. The humanitarian funding concerns the Danish Emergency Relief Fund (DERF) which has been activated by the UN issued International appeal, the Global Humanitarian Response Plan (GHRP) on COVID19.

Thus, DERF has the following two (2) COVID19 Calls for applications:

1.Humanitarian interventions in COVID19 on-watch countries, (20-011-OW COVID19 May 2020 Call

2.Humanitarian interventions in COVID19 priority countries. 20-012-PC COVID19 May 2020 Call

This means that the DERF is currently open to provide financial support for humanitarian interventions responding to the COVID19 crisis in a total of 63 countries which are mentioned in the COVID19 GHRP as on-watch countries and priority countries respectively. These countries are listed in the attached Call for application documents and they are also mentioned in the GHRP. In the attached two DERF Call for application documents, you can read more about the conditions for applying for COVID19 funding under the two Call for applications.

In addition to the two Call for applications documents, it is important that you read the COVID19 Supplement to the DERF Funding Guidelines as well as the DERF Funding Guidelines themselves, so that you are fully aware of the conditions under which you can seek for funding and your application will be assessed. Guidance in applying for DERF funding under these calls:

Applications can be submitted from Tuesday 19.05.2020 until Sunday 7.06.2020 at 23:59. Applications shall be assessed and rejected/approved on an ongoing basis as they are received.

Should you need more information and/or guidance in seeking DERF funding for COVID19 interventions, you are encouraged to attend one of the webinars offered by the DERF team. Registration deadline is on Wednesday 20.05.2020 latest 15:00 hrs by sending an email to derf@cisu.dk.

Kindly note,

• applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered
• that applications shall be uploaded via the CISU online application module
• if your organization is not pre-qualified for funding you shall send two different kinds of applications, please follow the link to the procedures.
• that you must use the new COVID19 specific application formats.– one is for interventions in on-watch countries, and one format is for interventions in priority countries. Applications not in the new DERF COVID19 formats available will not be considered
