Temporary closure for new Rapid Response crisis alerts

The DERF temporarily closes for new Rapid Response crisis alerts – Anticipatory Action funding still available.

To be able to support humanitarian crises response throughout the entire year, the DERF operates with a quarterly funding allocation model that regulates how much of the available funds may be spent during each quarter of the year.

The DERF has now spent the portion of funds available for allocation so far this year for Rapid Response. Therefore, the DERF management team has decided not to receive further Rapid Response alerts from now on and until the 30th of September 2025.

However, please note that funding for Anticipatory Action remains available and can still be applied for despite the temporary closure of the Rapid Response modality.

The closing for new alerts will have no effect on applications already received, nor on applications the DERF expects to receive under the recently opened call for the Monsoon Floods in Pakistan. All applications received under the current and past calls will be supported if they are assessed as worthy of support.
