Bloc Party and Gogol Bordello confirmed for NorthSide

Bikstok Røgsystem, Kings of Convenience, and Spleen United are also confirmed for the Danish Festival

We’re ready to add five acts from England, Norway, U.S.A., and Denmark to the poster for NorthSide 2013, which will both strengthen the quality of the program and the width of genres.

Bikstok Røgsystem

The reformed group impressed everyone and everything in 2005 with the album "Over Stok og Sten ", which lifted the now tremendously popular dancehall genre out of the underground. Blæs Bukki, Eaggerman, and Pharfar has focused on other successful projects since 2009, but thankfully this summer Bikstok will return, and we look forward to welcoming them to NorthSide 2013.
Bikstok Røgsystem will play NorthSide on Sunday the 16th June.

Bloc Party

Kele Okereke and the rest of Bloc Party broke through in 2005 with the debut album "Silent Alarm", where they proved that you can easily make indie rock that you can dance to. The band has since released three albums of very high quality, which edgy guitar riffs mixed with energetic drums and catchy melodies that constantly surprises and delights. So it is a pleasure to be able to present one of England's most exciting bands at this summer's festival.
Bloc Party will play NorthSide on Friday the 14th of June.

Gogol Bordello

The colourful band call their style of music gypsy punk, and though the band was formed in New York most of the members are actually from Russia or Ukraine. The band has an almost anarchic approach to their concerts, where all types of instruments are welcome and the energy level is constantly at the boiling point. So you can already now start looking forward to experiencing frontman Eugene Hütz bringing the party to NorthSide.
Gogol Bordello will play NorthSide on Sunday the 16th June.

Kings of Convenience

In 2001 the Norwegian duo of Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe started a new wave of acoustic pop music with the album "Quiet is the New Loud". The international interest in Kings of Convenience was strengthened with "Riot On A Empty Street", where they especially were commended for the fine harmonies, bittersweet lyrics, and exquisite detail in both melodies and arrangements. Kings of Convenience cultivate the fragile with a rarely seen success, and the concert at NorthSide 2013 is sure to be a beautiful experience.
Kings of Convenience will play NorthSide on Saturday the 15th June.

Spleen United

In May NorthSide booked Spleen United to play with Veto for a unique concert during the Spot Festival. The band now reunites with NorthSide, but this time the concert will take place during our festival, where Spleen United will be able to unfold their unique musical universe in front of the NorthSide-audience.
Spleen United will play NorthSide on Friday the 14th of June.
