Michael Kiwanuka won’t play NorthSide

The British songwriter has changed his tour schedule and will therefore not be playing shows in Scandinavia this summer

We are sad to have to announce that the British songwriter, Michael Kiwanuka, has cancelled his show at NorthSide 2013. Kiwanuka has cancelled all three Scandinavian dates this summer, which includes his forthcoming Danish show.

We have received the following statement from the songwriter’s management:

"Due to television and touring commitments in America we are very sorry that Michael will not be able to appear at the following festivals. NattJazz in Norway 30th May, Hultsfred in Sweden 13th June and Northside in Denmark 15th June. We hope to be back very soon".

The cancellation becomes because Michael Kiwanuka has agreed to support Mumford & Sons, who will be touring in the US in June. Unfortunately, this means he won’t be able to play at NorthSide as planned.

It is for now uncertain who will fill the empty slot in the programme, but obviously the organizers are working hard to find an appropriate substitute.
