Spleen United, Parov Stelar and AJ Tracey to play Tinderbox

Tinderbox is ready with another set of acts for next year's festival. In addition to the return of Spleen United, the line-up also features electro jazz pioneer Parov Stelar, grime talent AJ Tracey and big-hit Danish acts Jung and Clara.

Since 2013, Spleen United has been on "indefinite” hiatus, but now we can finally look forward to the long-awaited reunion of Bjarke and Gaute Niemann, Kasper Nørlund, Rune Wehner and Jens Kinch. The band is back in the original, which broke through with the album "Godspeed Into the Mainstream" from 2005, featuring hit singles "Heroin Unltd.", "In Peak Fitness Condition" and "Spleen Utd." In 2012,”School of Euphoria” was awarded ”Danish Rock Album of the Year” at the Danish Music Awards, as well as ”Danish Electronic Album of the Year” at the Gaffa Awards.

Electro swing for the dancefloor
Award-winning producer, DJ and electro jazz pioneer Parov Stelar was a recurring name on the Hôtel Costes series in the '00s, and in 2007, the BBC awarded him "the most promising producer in Europe” with the album “Shine". The use of dance-friendly samples and hits infused with the electro swing nerve that characterizes the Austrian's sound will surely set off a magnificent dance party in Odense.

Ruthless grime
Tinderbox has high expectations for Brixton-born AJ Tracey, who is one of the exciting new additions to the line-up.Although Tracey is not yet widely known to the Danish audience, 200 million streams on Spotify testify to an artist, who has taken his homeland by storm. The debut album "AJ Tracey" landed in February, and with hits like "Butterfly" and "Ladbroke Grove", Tracey is more than ready to go far beyond the UK borders.

Raw girl power and a new Danish sound
They were on everyone's lips with their first single "Jeg Skal Nok Vente" and now Danish Jung is ready to take on Tinderbox. The follow-up single "Hun Kommer Tilbage" has only added fuel to the flames and the curiosity will be enormous when the trio take on the stage in Odense.
Another great Danish talent is Clara, who has just been named “New Artist of the Year” at the Danish Music Awards. In 2018, Clara released her debut album "August Eighteen", which is filled to the brim with catchy pop songs like "What They Say", "Suffocating" and "Good To You". Newest tracks "Crazy" and "Legend" display a raw attitude, which only increases the expectations of the singer's debut at Tinderbox. Raw attitude is also a dominant feature of American singer-songwriter Banks, who had her breakthrough in 2014 with the single "Beggin For Thread", and who have just released her third album "III".
