DOYMA press release: A career with prospects: the DOYMA working environment and opportunities for development

The modern workplace: innovation meets a family-oriented corporate culture

Success flourishes where people can contribute their ideas, take on responsibility and develop their skills. For this reason, at DOYMA GmbH & Co, the focus is not only on innovative products and technical solutions, but also on the people who help shape this family-run business day in, day out.

In recent years, DOYMA has made targeted investments in creating a modern working environment. Open central areas serving as communication hubs, modern meeting rooms and think tanks for focused work, as well as the ‘Casino’ as a place to meet during breaks, create the ideal conditions for optimal working.

As a family-run business, DOYMA places particular emphasis on achieving a good work-life balance.

Careers at DOYMA

DOYMA attaches great importance to offering its staff an attractive overall package. As well as a modern working environment, the market leader offers its staff numerous benefits. These include, amongst other things, a fixed 13th month’s salary and a company pension scheme, including capital-forming benefits. At DOYMA, mobility and health are actively promoted. Employees have the option of using a business bike and receive a travel allowance for longer commutes. As part of the company’s health management programme, services such as the EGYM Wellpass are also available.

Additional flexibility is provided not only by the 38-hour working week, but also by the opportunities for remote working. Thanks to a structured and comprehensive induction programme, new employees gain a full insight into the company’s processes and structures right from the start. DOYMA supports its employees on their career paths through specialist training and individual development opportunities. Furthermore, a strong sense of community is a top priority at DOYMA. Team spirit is fostered through a friendly, informal atmosphere where everyone is on first-name terms, regular company events and after-work get-togethers.

In this way, DOYMA combines commercial success with a modern, supportive working environment in which employees can develop their talents and build long-term career prospects.

Internationalisation within the IWK Group

DOYMA GmbH & Co has been operating beyond the regional market for many years and has branches in various countries. Together with its sister companies UGA SYSTEM-TECHNIK GmbH & Co. KG and Rematec AG, which are part of the IWK Group, DOYMA fosters a corporate culture that promotes personal development, creates opportunities and enables long-term career paths. The IWK Group’s international focus not only strengthens sales and brand presence, but also provides employees and young talent with insights into international processes, markets and workflows. From apprenticeships and work placements through to specialist and management roles, the IWK Group offers a wide range of career paths.

Young talent at DOYMA

DOYMA places particular emphasis on nurturing young talent and offers apprenticeship places in the fields of wholesale and foreign trade management, warehouse logistics and as industrial clerks. Through a comprehensive training programme, apprentices gain varied insights into areas of the business such as purchasing, sales, product development, production, marketing and many others.

The latest example demonstrates that DOYMA actively promotes the development of young international talent: the two interns, John Guggiari and Fabio Balliana from Switzerland, completed a school-based work experience placement at the Oyten site in June. The foundation for this international work experience placement was laid through the association ‘Die Familienunternehmer e.V.’. During an association event, various representatives came together, including the company PractiGo GmbH. The company was represented by Mark Oliver Schneider, who struck up a conversation with Kerstin Ihlenfeldt-Wulfes, managing partner at DOYMA. This exchange gave rise to the idea of collaborating on the development of young talent, which ultimately paved the way for the internship of these two aspiring professionals at DOYMA.

During their stay in Oyten, John Guggiari and Fabio Balliana gained an insight into various areas of the company and were able to gain practical experience in an international working environment. The focus was on both professional insights and personal interaction with staff. “The work placement was very well organised and we did something different every day. That made it very varied and interesting,” says John Guggiari, describing his experiences. Fabio Balliana also takes away positive experiences: “We learnt a great deal as we got to know the various departments and were able to follow the production process from start to finish, right through to the finished product.”

The experiences of the two Swiss interns reflect the values that are put into practice in day-to-day working life at DOYMA – openness to new ideas, team spirit and the promotion of individual development. “International work placements forge valuable connections across national borders. At the same time, they give us the opportunity to show young people the opportunities that a modern family-run business like DOYMA can offer them,” say Kerstin Ihlenfeldt-Wulfes and Tanja Kraas, managing partners at DOYMA.

International work placements, exciting training programmes and a wide range of development opportunities are all part of the corporate culture at DOYMA. Together with UGA and Rematec, the IWK Group offers attractive prospects for those starting their careers, experienced professionals, specialists and managers. It’s worth checking the careers page regularly, as the companies’ continuous growth and development mean that new entry-level opportunities are constantly arising across the various departments. Anyone wishing to become part of an innovative, forward-looking and family-run business environment will find a wide range of opportunities at DOYMA, UGA and Rematec to take the next step in their career.
