On October 15, 2018, Duni acquires 75% of BioPak Pty Ltd from entrepreneurs Gary Smith and Richard Fine. BioPak is a leading supplier of sustainable disposable packaging for the food service industry in Australia and New Zealand with an approximate annual turnover of SEK 385 m. The acquisition will be consolidated into Business Area New Markets starting mid-October 2018.

Marielle Noble is appointed Communications and Customer Experience Director at Duni starting 1 September 2018. Duni’s strategic focus on customer excellence is integral to growth, and this role will support Duni’s development in coming years. Marielle will be responsible for strategic initiatives to enhance our customer experience, brand management and corporate communications.

The Board of Directors in Duni AB has today been informed by the company’s principal shareholder, Mellby Gård, that senior executives in Duni have acquired synthetic share options in Duni issued by Mellby Gård AB.
Thomas Lööb has decided to leave Duni to start a career as a Professional Board Executive, while continuing as Chairman at Rexcell Tissue & Airlaid AB. Magnus Carlsson has been appointed Corporate Development Director.
On the 28 May, 2018, the EU Commission has proposed an EU-wide regulation recommending preventive actions on plastic waste items most frequently found on Europe’s beaches and in the seas. Duni shares the concerns of plastic waste having a negative impact on the environment, and welcomes the proposal to further enhance work in this area.
On 8 May 2018, Duni AB's Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) in Malmö approved the proposed dividend to shareholders of SEK 5.00 per share.
