The EU Parliament on 27th March adopted the Directive on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment. The regulation is believed to be the most ambitious plan to combat plastic littering in the world.

Linus Lemark, Business Area Director Meal Service, is appointed Business Area Director Table Top.

They feature the same distinctive design language and easy handling as the original Octaview® range but with one big difference: the bases are crafted from compostable bagasse while the matching lids are available in 100% rPET or bagasse, which is available from Q2/2019.

Margins under pressure from higher pulp prices – efficiency program initiated
On October 15, 2018, Duni acquires 75% of BioPak Pty Ltd from entrepreneurs Gary Smith and Richard Fine. BioPak is a leading supplier of sustainable disposable packaging for the food service industry in Australia and New Zealand with an approximate annual turnover of SEK 385 m. The acquisition will be consolidated into Business Area New Markets starting mid-October 2018.
