Educatius Launches 1:1 Impact: Transforming Exchanges into Global Change

[Gothenburg, January 29, 2025] – Educatius, a global leader in academic exchange programs, has announced the launch of 1:1 Impact, an innovative initiative that empowers international students to shape the global impact of their high school exchange program.

For the first time, Educatius exchange students can choose how their program directly supports one of three transformative projects:

🌟 1:1 Student – Fund a year of schooling for one student in The Gambia.

🌟 1:1 Teacher – Support the salary of a special needs teacher in Tanzania.

🌟 1:1 Soccer Field of Trees – Plant and conserve the equivalent of one soccer field of trees in Tanzania.

This initiative is a natural evolution of Educatius’ long-standing commitment to education, sustainability, and empowerment, but with a key difference: students are now at the heart of the decision-making process.

A Generation That Cares

According to recent research, 79% of European Gen Z prioritize organizations with strong Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments. With this growing demand for purpose-driven experiences, Educatius’ 1:1 Impact gives students the opportunity to make an immediate, tangible difference.

“Youth today want their actions to align with their values,” said Carla Kearns, Vice President of Communications for Educatius. “1:1 Impact transforms the exchange journey into a powerful tool for creating positive change. Their individual exchange becomes something more than benefitting themselves and their future; it creates an impact that enhances lives and communities far beyond their own.”

A Legacy of Global Impact

Through Aiducatius, Educatius has been supporting these initiatives for years, driven by a belief in education’s power to create a better world:

  • Thousands of students in The Gambia have gained access to life-changing education at St. Martin’s Basic Cycle School since 2009.
  • Special needs education in Tanzania has grown stronger with support for qualified teachers at Gabriella Children Rehabilitation Centre since 2022.
  • Thousands of acres of trees have been planted responsibly to combat deforestation and protect local communities in rural Tanzania since 2009.

Now, international exchange students have been given the opportunity to select the cause closest to their hearts, connecting their personal journey to a larger mission.

Seamlessly Integrated into the Student Journey

Educatius’ 1:1 Impact will be introduced to each student when they enroll in their high school exchange program. Students select their preferred initiative and receive updates throughout their program, showcasing the real-world impact of their choice.

Why It Matters

This initiative redefines what a study abroad program can achieve. By embedding purpose into the exchange experience, Educatius is creating a ripple effect of global good—one student at a time.
