Press release -
Ejendals AB introducing JALAS® Sustainable Safety Shoes – No change, just better. Available: October
Following the success of our Exalter collection, we are thrilled to offer two new models, the JALAS® EXALTER 9935 and JALAS® EXALTER 9995, as well as the JALAS® SPOC 5312, all made with sustainable materials.
Our expert, Anniina Suninen, Product Manager at Ejendals, claims that these shoes are a game-changer in the safety footwear industry. “Ever since the initial launch, the Exalter collection has been our most popular range of safety shoes. Ejendals AB is now introducing two additional models made with sustainable materials. They have the same well-known comfort and ergonomic properties that have made Exalter a real customer favorite”, says Anniina Suninen.
Exalter is a light safety shoe with a supportive and shock-absorbing sole system, including a PU midsole and a multi-layered insole with the high-tech material Poron® XRDR, which absorbs up to 90% of the energy upon impact. They have a sock-like construction with a foam collar edge that provides softness and comfort around the ankles. The BOA® Fit System enables fast and perfect adjustment of the fit of the shoe and is placed on the side to eliminate pressure points when working on knees.
Sustainable material in JALAS® EXALTER 9935 and JALAS® EXALTER 9995:
• Upper material is made of durable microfiber, where 20% is bio-based originating from corn.
• Environmentally friendly details have replaced the plastic overmouldings.
• New Vibram® Ecostep Pro outsole made with up to 30% recycled material.
• New JALAS EcoFlex nail-penetration insert made of recycled and GRS certified textile material.
• BOA® Fit System contains recycled material.
JALAS® SPOC 5312 – Ultra light, soft, and sustainable
Introducing a groundbreaking concept in occupational footwear: an exceptionally comfortable shoe featuring a slip-on sock construction. The upper is knitted in an ultralight material, seamlessly crafted, and exceptionally breathable, ensuring heightened comfort, especially in warmer conditions. The shoe offers foot support while maintaining a soft and comfortable feel. As an added benefit, the shoes are predominantly crafted from recycled and bio-based materials, contributing to the conservation of natural resources.
Sustainable material in JALAS® SPOC 5312:
• Upper of recycled polyester originating from recycled PET bottles.
• Midsole of 50% bio-based EVA originating from sugar canes.
• All ink colouring is water-based, with biodegradable and non-toxic.
Ejendals' commitment to sustainability sets us apart from the competition, as we strive to provide high-quality safety shoes while minimizing our environmental impact. The launch of the JALAS® Sustainable Safety Shoes aligns perfectly with our company strategy of promoting eco-friendly practices and innovative solutions. With this new addition to our product lineup, we are confident that our customers will not only stay safe at work but also contribute to a more sustainable future.
