Launch of JALAS® HEAVY DUTY GTX – PFAS-Free Waterproof Boots for Tough Outdoor Work
Leksand, Sweden – Ejendals AB proudly presents the JALAS® HEAVY DUTY 1288 GTX and 1298 GTX, two new professional-grade work boots built for outdoor tasks in harsh and variable weather. With a new PFAS-free GORE-TEX membrane and light insulation, these boots offer full waterproofing, exceptional grip, and long-wearing comfort for demanding work environments.
A New Generation of GORE-TEX Protection
Equipped with a PFAS-free* GORE-TEX membrane developed specifically for professional footwear, these boots offer advanced protection against water, wind and cold – while maintaining high breathability. Seam-sealed and insulation-lined, they meet and exceed waterproofing standards for all-day outdoor use.

Comfort and Safety That Lasts
Built on the proven JALAS® ergonomic platform, both boots include a multi-layered sole system for excellent shock absorption and fatigue reduction. The outsole in PU/nitrile rubber ensures high grip on slick or uneven ground. A PU-reinforced toe cap protects against abrasion, and the boots include a composite toe cap and JALAS® EcoFlex nail penetration insert – soft, flexible, and made with 21% recycled polyester, specifically designed to resist narrow nails.

- JALAS® HEAVY DUTY 1288 GTX – Mid-cut, metal-free, lace-up design with ankle support
- JALAS® HEAVY DUTY 1298 GTX – High-cut, lace + side zipper (zipper only metal component), with a flexible, protective shaft for cold and wet outdoor work
