Ekornes introduces first Stressless® mattress in North America

This week marks the start of an exciting new adventure for Norwegian furniture manufacturer Ekornes AS. For over 50 years, the company has been known for crafting some of the world's most comfortable recliners carrying the Stressless^® brand. They are now bringing their innovative comfort to the bedroom with an exciting new product: the Stressless^® Sky mattress concept – the first-ever mattress released under the iconic Stressless^® brand in the American market.

As many might know, Ekornes has a long history of crafting high-quality mattresses in their home market in Scandinavia. In fact, the first product Ekornes ever made was a mattress spring, way back in 1934. “This adds to the prestige and excitement we feel when we prepare to launch a completely new mattress in the US”, says Fredrik Nilsen, CEO at Ekornes. “At Ekornes, we understand the importance of a good night's sleep, and we have incorporated our years of sleep research with innovative technology to create the Stressless^® Sky mattress”, Nilsen says.

Customized comfort
Stressless^® Sky will be available to customize with layers of plush padding, foam, and pocket springs, to ensure the ultimate support for a good night’s rest. With a modular design, it’s easy to add or remove layers to achieve the perfect level of comfort desired.

The Cloud layer and the Plush layer - two of the mattress's modular components – are exclusive to Ekornes and made in Norway - ensuring that customers receive a product that is truly luxurious and one-of-a-kind. The entire mattress, including the layers, can be transported easily in convenient boxes that fit in a car.

The mattress ensures maximum support and pressure relief for your body, while the breathable materials help to regulate temperature and promote a restful sleep environment.

With the launch of the Stressless^® Sky, Ekornes is once again demonstrating its commitment to providing superior comfort and quality to customers, both at home and abroad.

The Stressless^® Sky makes its debut at High Point Market in April 2023.
