Francfranc Becomes Exclusive Retail Partner for Elephant Parade

Today, Elephant Parade International announces an exclusive partnership with Francfranc stores in Hong Kong. Starting from 24th October 2014, the stylish home furnishing brand will become the sole retailer of the Parades’ world famous hand-decorated replica elephants, to be sold at their stores at iSQUARE, Festival Walk, City Plaza and Fashion Walk.

During the summer months, Elephant Parade took place in Hong Kong with a herd of 100 brightly coloured elephants seen displayed at three locations throughout the city. The elephants were then auctioned at the end of the exhibition, with funds directly benefitting conservation projects managed by The Asian Elephant Foundation and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). As a social enterprise, Elephant Parade generates a steady flow of donations to help Asian elephants through auctions and by distributing 20% of all net profits to The Asian Elephant Foundation.

“Bringing Elephant Parade to Hong Kong has been very exciting and created a huge amount of awareness and funding for Asian elephant conservation” said Mike Spits, CEO and Founder of Elephant Parade. “Our world famous exhibition has thrilled Hong Kong residents and visitors alike, so we wanted to continue to make our beautiful hand crafted merchandise available for Hong Kong homes.”

Through Francfranc, Elephant Parade will continue building its Global Movement in Hong Kong to raise awareness for Asian elephant conservation. To celebrate the partnership, Francfranc are running an internal Elephant Parade Artbox competition. As part of the contest people can create their own inspiring elephant art-pieces. To join the contest. please visit one of the four Francfanc stores. Participants can automatically join the Global Artbox Contest. “Auction proceeds help generate funding for the conservation work we support, but it’s the merchandise sales that help us to maintain a constant flow of donations to The Asian Elephant Foundation,” Spits explains. “In Francfranc we have found a like-minded local partner that shares our ethos for saving Asian elephants. We are thrilled to team up with this fantastic interior design brand who we believe share our passion.”

Sherman Yung, Director, Francfranc said: “Elephant Parade is a very meaningful project. As a leading home furnishing brand, Francfranc believes living a quality life is about an unrivalled living space, yet it is also about showing we care about important issues going on around the world. We feel Elephant Parade perfectly combines what we value and by bringing the elephant indoors, you can show your love of the outdoors.”
